Internationalization has been consistently pursued as a strategy for the operation of SUFE for more than one hundred years. Since the establishment of the university in 1917, the founders and pioneers have been seeking to combine modern Western business education with the national conditions of China as a new way to train local business talent. In recent years, the university has fully implemented the Global SUFE strategy, absorbing advanced educational concepts and experience from international higher education and adopting an international perspective to promote reform in education and teaching. It continues to strengthen high-level international cooperation and exchange in various domains, and greatly enhance the international level of talent training, scientific research, disciplines, teaching staff, and social services.

The university actively seeks outstanding international partners and a range of models for international cooperation. To date, it has established partnership with nearly 200 colleges and institutions in over 30 countries and regions, with partnerships relating to joint operation, overseas study, scientific collaboration, and teacher-student communication.

By implementing a series of measures, such as the tenure track system and the recruitment of overseas professors, SUFE has attracted a large number of outstanding overseas talent and established a good environment for international teaching and research. By improving models for talent training, it has cultivated a large number of international talent who possess a global outlook, understand international regulations, and have the ability to participate in international affairs and competitions. By promoting the Double First-class development of the university, the international ranking of disciplines such as accounting, finance, economics, and business continue to improve. The university has been continuously improving its international profile and influence, enhancing its impact on society.
