From October 22th to 29th, Vice President Liu Lanjuan led a delegation to visit the universities in Switzerland and Germany including Goethe University Frankfurt, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and University of Berne.
As one of the biggest Universities in Germany, Goethe University Frankfurt was also the one of the top research universities.The delegation conducted a meeting with Professor Lars O. Pilz, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business. The two universities had a stable and long-term cooperation and this time a further cooperation in scientific research and summer school was put forward and the con-census is reached. Afterward, Vice President Liu Lan Juan introduced the SUFE School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the discipline construction, Dean Forum and students exchanges and the two sides reached a agreement in cooperation .
Frankfurt School of Finance & management was rated as one of Germany's elite universities. Its famous majors include management of enterprises, economic information and management finance. The delegation met Professor Horst Lochel, MBA Program Director, and Matthias Caton Bachelor Program Director. The two sides reviewed cooperation and the exchange students feedback, discussed cooperation in international summer programs, innovation and entrepreneurship education and joint talent cultivation.
University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland is located in central Switzerland. It is an international applied University, its discipline range from business, engineering, to architecture and it maintained a close cooperation with the industry. Liu met Professor Carsten Peuckert, Director of Enterprise Management, School of Business, and Jeannette Merguin from the International office. The two sides exchanged the future internationalization strategy and expressed expectations continue to deepen cooperation. After the discussion ,two professors expressed their intention to give lectures in SUFE international summer school.
University of Berne has a long history, and it’s famous for humanities , especially in the law and economics. Liu met Zoe Ghielmetti, Executive Director of International office and introduced the general situation of SUFE, majors and courses, international cooperation including teachers and students exchanges and summer program. and then discussed with Professor Norbert Trautmann from Institution of Finance Management, who was in charge of international cooperation and exchanges about summer school, scientific research cooperation.The two sides reached a basic consensus.
