On April 5th 2016, SUFE convened a meeting for the launch of The Thousand Village Survey Project. Attending the meeting were: Vice Chairperson of the University Council Liu Yongzhang, Chief Specialist for the project Wei Hang, the 2015 Chief Specialist Liu Liya, and other members from different departments. The meeting was hosted by the Vice President of SUFE, Jiang Chuanhai.
Director of the Development Planning Department Ying Wangjiang began by demonstrating the implementation plan for the project and illustrated its framework, scheduling, and work arrangement.
Afterwards, Wei Hang introduced the current situation of entrepreneurship in rural areas from several different perspectives: research objectives, project design, topic selection, and many more. SUFE has established teams of experts to continue the project.
Liu Yongzhang later emphasized the project was a type of social practice that integrated science technology research, education, and talents cultivation which will benefit individuals and the entire nation.
He then further pointed out that in order to gain the full benefits of such a program, there needs to be a balance between theory and practice. The completion of the project requires harmonious cooperation and a proactive work environment. Finally, he wished the project to be a great success.
