On the morning of March 25th, Zhu Xian, the Vice President of the New Development Bank (NDB) was invited as a distinguished guest of Jiasheng Forum to deliver a speech for the students.
The Forum was held at the lecture hall of the administration Building. Firstly, Yao Lingzhen, Vice President of SUFE introduced Mr. Zhu Xian to students. Afterwards, Zhu delivered a speech with the theme of “Current Situation and the Future of the International Development Institution and the Development of New Development Bank.
Firstly, he highly praised the contribution SUFE has made to the society for it has nurtured so many elites and talented people. During the speech, Zhu also reviewed the history of the New Development Bank and elaborated the development and future plans. Furthermore, he extended his sincere hope that every SUFE student would lead a wonderful life with great endeavors, fortitude and wisdom.
After the speech, Fan Liming, President of SUFE had a meeting with Zhu Xian. This was the second time for them to meet with each other since 2012. President Fan extended a warm welcome and expressed her gratitude for Zhu’s visit. She said that the cooperation between SUFE and NDB should be explored, SUFE can make use of teaching and scientific research to provide services and intellectual support for NDB, while NDB can provide chances of practice for teachers and students of finance and other related majors, and thus become a long-term and stable practice base. The two sides also discussed other issues relating to substantial development and cooperation and hoped to establish closer interaction with each other in the long run.
