Recently, the “Erasmus+” exchange project funding, which was jointly submitted by Tilburg University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, was approved by the European Union. This is the first time that SUFE has received funding from this project.
The funding by “Erasmus+” will enable SUFE and Tilburg University to exchange teachers and students for 3 years, and will support 1 teacher and 1 student from SUFE to visit Tilburg University.
The Erasmus is a cooperative scholarship program in higher education. It is a global program that provides opportunities for higher education in Europe. Since 2014, the European Union has launched the “Erasmus+”; the upgraded version of Erasmus has expanded exchange to countries and regions outside Europe for the first time, aiming to promote the exchange of students, researchers and teachers between EU countries and third world countries. The plan enjoys a high reputation in the international academic field.
The “Erasmus+” project has been approved due to the long-standing and high-level cooperation between Tilburg University and SUFE. At the same time, it will provide greater impetus for the in-depth cooperation between the two universities in the field of joint training of students, and will also promote multilateral cooperation and exchange of scientific research with SUFE, and support the construction of Double First Class.
In addition, it will also promote the global management of the campus, the improvement of the cross-cultural communication abilities of teachers and students and the expansion of international vision. It will further strengthen cooperation with European prestigious universities and deepen the exchange in education, science and culture.
“Erasmus+” will provide an important opportunity for further development of SUFE’s international exchanges and cooperation work, and will also help improve the school's internationalization strategy.
