On July 2nd, President Fan Liming met the delegation of Singapore Management University led by President Arnoud De Meyer.

President Fan Liming extended a warm welcome to President Arnoud De Meyer. She introduced the development of the university as well as our efforts in recruiting international faculty and promoting academic research development. President Fan pointed out that over the past three years, under the joint efforts of both parties, the two universities carried out fruitful cooperation, which had achieved very good results.
President Arnoud De Meyer expressed admiration to SUFE’s educational resources, encouraging development and an open educational concept. He outlined the ongoing development of Singapore Management University. De Meyer stated that both universities had attached great importance to international cooperation and exchanges, and were committed to the training of high-quality talents and carrying out top academic research. Subjects of the two universities were close, the development concepts interlinked, the goals and pursuit thereof are consistent, which made further cooperation between the two universities possible.
The two sides exchanged ideas about 1 + 1 joint master cultivation, high-end international talent cultivation, an index of world university rankings and reached a consensus on cooperation and agreed to further deliberate on the relevant details. Leaders of School of International Business Administration, the School of Finance, the School of Accounting and the Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the meeting.

Singapore Management University is a premier university in Asia. Founded in 2000, it is one of the five public universities of Singapore. According to the 2015 QS World University Rankings, the Accounting and Finance Department of Singapore Management University ranked 50th in the world. In 2012, SUFE and Singapore Management University signed a framework cooperation agreement. In April, 2013 the two sides signed a students exchange agreement and the relevant cooperation has been successful and ongoing.
