Shanghai, July 30- the first exchange meeting of Kuangshi Class from Entrepreneurship School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SHUFE) was held on July 28, with Principal of SHUFE Fan Liming, Vice Principal and Dean of Entrepreneurship School Liu Lanjuan and other professors from School of International Business Management as well as students from Kuangshi Class attending the meeting. And Executive Vice Dean of Entrepreneurship School Liu Zhiyang served as the moderator.
Reporter from Eastday.com was learned from the meeting that the first Kuangshi Class has enrolled 47 students, including 42 undergraduates, postgraduates, PHDs and 5 alumni from SHUFE, Second Military Medical University and another university. Students’ entrepreneurial projects reached 37, most of which are in the early stage: 32% of the projects have been registered, 13% of the teams are in the incubation stage, and one student’s project has obtained fund-raising. Students’ projects mainly involve Internet plus, finance, service industry, creative industry and other fields, the majority of which is in the Internet industry, accounting for 68% of the total projects.
“A kind of atmosphere like how to cultivate students’ the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, is gradually formed in the campus since the establishment of Entrepreneurship School,” Fan Liming pointed out that innovation and entrepreneurship education aims at sowing the seeds of entrepreneurship in the minds of students, integrating this kind of education into the talent cultivation system and cultivating students’ innovation and entrepreneurship ability so as to make students put their infinite startup ideas into practice.
