The university focuses on the construction of the Double First-Class project, further implements the Global SUFE 2.0 strategy, continues to deepen existing cooperative relationships, improves the global partner network layout, and promotes cooperation with world-class universities in fields of talent cultivation, joint research, serving society, etc.
Recently, President Liu Yuanchun, Executive Vice President Xu Fei, and Vice President Yao Lingzhen led delegations respectively to Singapore, Belgium, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Hong Kong, China for working visits.
President Liu Yuanchun led a delegation to visit Singapore from October 24 to 28. The delegation visited the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and Singapore Management University. He and Liu Bin, Executive Vice President of the National University of Singapore, conducted in-depth discussions on the university-running experience as well as the future cooperation. President Liu Yuanchun signed the memorandum of understanding with Lily Kong, President of Singapore Management University, and exchanged views on the existing cooperation achievements and future cooperation fields. The delegation members also had in-depth exchanges with representatives of the Business School of the National University of Singapore and the Business School of Nanyang Technological University and reached a cooperation intention and proposed to sign a memorandum of understanding on school-level cooperation.

The delegation visited the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), and held talks with economists including AMRO Director Li Kouqing on academic exchanges, joint research, and overseas internships for students. The delegation also visited the Bank of China Singapore Branch, Bank of Communications Singapore Branch, and Overseas Chinese Bank, and exchanged views on cutting-edge economic research, industry-education collaborative education, and so on.
The delegation also visited the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Singapore and President Liu delivered a lecture on Chinese macro-economy there.
On October 27th, President Liu Yuanchun was invited to attend the FutureChina Global Forum 2023 held by Business China Singapore and participated as a keynote speaker of the Panel Session Envisaging the New Directions of Finance and Investment in China. He shared his unique insights into China's economic development.
Executive Vice President Xu Fei led a delegation to visit Belgium and France from October 22 to 29. During the visit to Belgium, the delegation visited the University of Leuven and the ICHEC Brussels Management School, and held talks with representatives of the universities, schools, and departments on discipline construction, teaching reform, talent cultivation, internationalization construction, etc., sharing their respective development achievements and distinctive advantages. They also reached a consensus on further deepening existing cooperation and expanding academic exchanges and cooperation in related fields. Xu Fei renewed the memorandum of understanding on university-level cooperation and student exchange agreement with the ICHEC Brussels Management School.

During the stay in France, Xu Fei and his delegation visited ICD Business School, SKEMA Business School, and NEOMA Business School, and held talks with their school authorities and faculty representatives on innovative talent cultivation mode, cooperation in industry, academia, and research, exploration of the college system, research and development of general education courses, and teacher teaching development. They also had in-depth discussions on the possibility of joint training, mutual visits between teachers and students, academic exchanges, case development, and cooperation related to Kuangshi College. Xu Fei signed the memorandum of understanding on university-level cooperation and student exchange agreement with ICD Business School for the first time.
Vice President Yao Lingzhen led a delegation to visit Japan and the Repubulic of Korea from October 29 to November 5. During the visit to Japan, the delegation visited Soka University and Hitotsubashi University, held talks with representatives of the two universities, and all parties expressed their willingness to further promote substantive exchanges and cooperation, and actively expand cooperation in graduate and international student education. The delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the first international academic forum jointly hosted by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Hitotsubashi University, and the Institute of Japanese Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Yao Lingzhen signed a cooperation agreement on holding the international academic forum on behalf of the university with Hitotsubashi University and the Institute of Japanese Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

During their stay in Republic of Korea, the delegation visited Konkuk University and Sungkyunkwan University and reached a consensus with relevant representatives on how to deepen the partnership and promote the implementation of substantive projects in talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation.
Yao Lingzhen, respectively renewed and signed memoranda of understanding and student exchange agreements with the two universities. Representatives of SUFE school and relevant departments signed the school-level memoranda of understanding on cooperation with their counterparts of two universities. The delegation also paid a visit to the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Korea, exchanging views on education and culture between China and RK.
Yao Lingzhen also led a delegation to visit Hong Kong, China from October 10 to 15 and visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. The delegation held talks with representatives of the four universities on discipline construction, talent cultivation, school-enterprise cooperation, social services, etc. The delegation also attended the 2023 commencement ceremony and graduation ceremony of Hong Kong Graduate programs of SUFE and discussed with Wang Zhongying, Chairman of the Hong Kong Financial Services Institute, further optimizing and improving the operation mechanism of the Hong Kong teaching point. The delegation also visited the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and exchanged views with Ba Shusong, Managing Director and Chief China Economist, on the participation and guidance of industry mentors in the process of talent cultivation.
During the visits, all of the delegations had cordial and friendly exchanges locally with SUFE outgoing exchange students and alumni representatives, introduced the development of the university in recent years, expressed greetings and blessings from alma mater, encouraged the current students to study hard, hoped to further strengthen the connection with alumni, and encouraged alumni to actively participate in and jointly contribute to SUFE construction and development.
