11 09,2023

On November 7th, the 2023 SUFE Campus Food Festival opened on the Green Leaf Pedestrian Street, providing teachers and students with a rich and colorful culinary cultural experience.

There are 28 stalls at this food festival, offering over a hundred traditional delicacies from all over the country including barbecue and fried skewers, seafood and spicy braised dishes, desserts and drinks. The chefs from various canteens have showcased their unique skills. The newly opened Sixth Cafeteria participated in the event with fragrant fried chicken ribs, steak, and Mexican chicken rolls, with a long queue in front of the stall.

In addition to enjoying delicious food, this year's food festival has also added an interactive section called Immersive Experience of Traditional Food and Folk Customs, where pounding glutinous rice cakes and hand grinding wheat flour have attracted the attention of students. The custom of making glutinous rice cakes can be traced back to ancient agricultural societies. It not only symbolizes reunion, harvest, and auspiciousness, but also embodies the ancient people's yearning and pursuit for a better life.

In addition, the food festival also invited sugar painting and Dough figurine artisans to showcase folk art on site. Artisans use sugar or dough to create various vivid animal patterns and shapes, leaving people amazed. Their exquisite skills and unique charm of traditional culture won the onlookers and applause of the students on site.

At exactly 12 noon, the climax of the food festival activity - the sharing of the school anniversary cake officially began. The school anniversary cake is made overnight by canteens bakers, with a size of 2 * 6 meters. It is made from fresh cream and fruit, and is topped with the 106th anniversary logo of SUFE.The bakers started cutting the cake into countless small pieces, allowing teachers and students to taste this sweet joy.
