On May 16th, the opening ceremony of the 11th SUFE Sports Culture Festival of was held in the Guoding Gymnasium. Wang Wei, vice president and Secretary General of China Badminton Association,SUFE leaders Xu Tao, Xu Fei, Chen Hong, Fang Hua, Yao Lingzhen, members of the badminton team of Shanghai University Presidents, and more than 2000 SUFE teachers and students participated in the activity.
The opening ceremony began in the beautiful and flexible national standard dance performance Me and My motherland. Then, all participants watched the Theme MV Youth and the wonderful performance of the dragon dance team.
Xu Tao, the Chair of the University Council, delivered a speech. He said that the centennial history of the Communist Party of China is also the centennial history of China's dream of becoming a leading sporting nation. SUFE students should adhere to the sportmanship of hard working and never yield in spite of reverses, so as to make their due contributions to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. After the speech, Xu Tao announced the official opening of the sports culture festival.
After the wonderful performance and the entrance ceremony, the long-awaited Basketball League finals between the School of Information Management and Engineering and the School of International Education officially began. The joy of youth and striving gathered together. Strength and beauty blended in the agitation of sweat and tears.
During the half-time period, the gauze dance Jasmine brought by SUFE rhythmic gymnastics team presented a magnificent visual feast to the audience. In the skills competition and three-point shooting competition, players were able to show their shooting skills.
After the shooting competition, the exciting and tense competition entered the decisive stage. In the sweat of the team members, the whistle of the referee and the enthusiastic cry of the audience, the School of International Education won the finals with a 90-70 advantage and lifted the long-awaited championship trophy.
The ceremony ended with the cheers of the award ceremony.
